Notable motorcycle roads to ride include: The
Dragon at Deals Gap on US 129, The
Hellbender on NC 28 near Deals Gap, Cherohala
Skyway on NC 143 just south of Deals Gap and US 129, the
Blue
Ridge Parkway, White
Oak Mountain Road in Columbus, Green
River Cove Road in Saluda, and Greenville
Highway from Saluda to Poinsett Bridge. Some of these roads
are challenging and not fit for beginners. However seasoned
motorcycle riders will enjoy the ride.
Nice places to rest and relax include: Riders
Roost, Hot
Springs Campground, and the Punkin
Center Motorcycle Resort. Some of these locations are motorcycle
only sorry cagers. There is a nice restaurant to visit near
Riders Roost hidden away at Mountain View Riding Stables ask
Uncle Roy for directions.
Great places to eat include: Asheville
Pizza and Brewing Company, Anthony's
Restaurante Pizzeria in Bryson City, The Paddlers
Pub in Hot Springs, Deals
Gap Motorcycle Resort, and the Mellow
Mushroom in Asheville. If you get a helmet ticket and need
to go to court Anthony’s is within easy walking distance
of the courthouse in Bryson City.

Tracy Miles Fundraiser and a Ride to Savannah The Tracy Miles Fundraiser and Chili Cook Off took place Saturday afternoon in Ridgeland South Carolina. Many folks entered the chili contest and there was plenty to eat. Savannah Georgia is just a short ride from Ridgeland South Carolina. Around mid afternoon a ride was taken to Moon River Brewing Company located at 21 W Bay St. in Savannah.
